The German Association is participating in this year’s European Social Services Conference 2026

Marie Wilpers, Head of Department for International Affairs at the German Association for Public and Private Welfare (Deutscher Verein für öffentliche und private Fürsorge e.V.), attended the European Social Services Conference (ESSC), the annual conference of the European Social Network (ESN), in Valletta, Malta, from 17 to 20 May 2026. The conference was held under the theme “Bridging Boundaries – International Insights into Social Services”.

In cooperation with Pro Arbeit – Kreis Offenbach and the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, the German Association contributed to the conference with a presentation on app-based health checks and preventive measures in municipal job centres as an example of best practice.

The German Association is a member of the European Social Network and, through its membership of the Council, is also represented in ESN’s governance structure.
