Opinion of the Deutscher Verein für öffentliche und private Fürsorge e.V. (German Association for Public and Private Welfare) regarding the EU Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2030

The German Association for Public and Private Welfare welcomes the European Commission’s initiative and the EU strategy’s objective of achieving a gender-equal society, and calls for its committed implementation. It comments on selected aspects of the EU strategy and sets out its positions and demands regarding its implementation in Germany. The main areas of focus are protection against violence against women and domestic violence, as well as work-life balance and gender equality in care and support responsibilities.
